Lili Reinhart And Cole Sprouse Address Those Breakup Rumors

Amid rumors that they are no longer an item, Riverdale co-stars Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse finally addressed the speculations. Here’s what the actor pair had to say.

Last week, reports started going around that while Betty and Jughead are going strong on the small screen, the same cannot be said about their real-life counterparts.

It was heartbreaking for some to hear this but it’s possible they are still together after all, judging by Reinhart’s latest post.

In fact, their joint cover picture for W magazine was just released and the actress went ahead to share it with the world.

But perhaps her caption was the biggest clue since it reads: ‘BREAKING: A reliable source has confirmed that none of you know s**t.’

Cole played along, writing: ‘UNPRECEDENTED: Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart consume the flesh of ‘reliable sources’ to fuel their bacchanalian sex cult.’

Obviously, real or not, the actors are not too happy about all the insider reports on their personal lives.

As for their cover story, Lili and Cole were interviewed separately back in May and it was their own choice to do so because Sprouse told the interviewer: ‘I’m so glad we’re making your job more difficult.’

During her own separate interview, Reinhart explained: ‘We’re not fighting with the idea that people group us together, but we are paired up a lot.  acknowledging that we’re in a relationship, but it’s a small part of who we are as people. We want our own separate identities.’

She also admitted she did not want their romance to be private at first but Cole has encouraged her to take that path and now Lili is very happy about it.

The actress explained that keeping the exact length of their relationship and how they fell in love under wraps makes it all much more special.
