Amidst rumors of a possible reboot of the classic sitcom Frasier, many fans have started to speculate about the possible future of the show and how the producers might approach it.

However, it does not look like everyone that should be on board is involved.

In particular, Bebe Neuwirth, the actress behind Lilith Sternin in the original production, claims to have no knowledge of any reboot being in the works.

Frasier was a huge hit when it originally aired, staying on air for over ten years, and enjoying a somewhat successful run throughout.

It is one of the few shows in history that have managed to draw such a consistently large audience, and it has been frequently commended for innovating certain aspects of modern TV.

News about the possible reboot has been going around for a while now, but it does not seem like anyone knows anything concrete.

Neuwirth admits that she has also heard of the reboot on multiple occasions, but could not provide any more information, and it seems like she is being primarily kept in the dark about the project as well.

The actress shared: “No, I just see lots of chatter about it. I don’t know anything. I haven’t heard anything personally.”

She continued with: “Sure, but reboots are tricky because the original is so fine. So if you’re going to do it, it better be really phenomenal. I do trust Kelsey, though, and his taste and his intelligence. If he does it again, I’m sure he’ll do it really, really well and the best version. Absolutely.”

Neuwirth also added: “I trust those writers. I never imagined what had happened from the first time my character walked into the bar on Cheers. I never would have imagined, but they were the greatest writers in TV comedies. It was brilliant. All of their choices were brilliant.”

Is it possible that the show might get rebooted with a new cast?

That would be a controversial move among its fans, and it could easily ruin the potential of the production.

On the other hand, it is also possible that gathering all the original actors for the new run might not be the best idea either.

It remains to be seen how the producers are going to approach this and what changes they might have planned in general.
