Ashley Tisdale Spills on Her Special Wedding Date Selection

Publish date: 2024-04-23

Ever since news broke that former Disney star Ashley Tisdale got married, people have been wondering what on earth made her chose to exchange vows with her now husband on a Monday evening. Saturday is the most common choice of wedding day, followed by Friday evenings and even Sunday afternoons, but not very many people choose to get married anywhere other than an informal courthouse on a Monday evening. Except Tisdale, that is.

One of the reasons the actress chose to get married on a Monday was so she could do it in peace. No one expects people to get married on Mondays, so no one suspected that the actress was prepping for her big day, that day. However, Ryan Seacrest had a different question for the newlywed.

“Was it to throw people off or was it bargain shopping?” he asked the actress on his radio show.

“The 8th was our anniversary, so I wanted it to land on an 8th, and thankfully, it landed on a Monday in September. I figured out like, ‘Oh, I don’t think anybody would figure this one out,’ and that was to protect the privacy of it,” she confided to the radio host.

She goes on to say that her wedding day went off without a hitch. That makes her a lucky bride, even if we do think that any wedding that ends with two happily married people and no major disasters counts as ‘without a hitch’.

The actress has been married just a few weeks now, but so far she and her new husband have kept a low profile. She managed to pull off a Monday wedding on their anniversary without anyone knowing until she made the announcement she is a married woman, and that’s a big deal in Hollywood. Congratulations are in order for the new Mrs.
